El Oscar de la gente
La cinta británica "El discurso del rey" encabeza la lista de nominaciones a los premios Oscar, con 12 en total. Lista completa de nominados.
La segunda película con más nominaciones fue el 'western' de los hermanos Ethan y Joel Coen, "True Grit", que se alzó con 10 postulaciones, entre ellas Mejor Película, Mejor Actor para Jeff Bridges, y Mejor Actriz Secundaria para la niña Hailee Steinfeld.
Le siguen en número de nominaciones "Inception", de Christopher Nolan, y "The Social Network", de David Fincher, ambas con ocho postulaciones a los máximos premios de la industria del cine en Hollywood.
El español Javier Bardem fue nominado hoy al Óscar de mejor actor por su papel en la película "Biutiful", su tercera candidatura a estos premios después de "Antes que anochezca" (2000) y "No Country for Old Men" (2007), según anunció la Academia de Hollywood.
Bardem tendrá como rivales por la estatuilla a Colin Firth, que parte como favorito por su rey Jorge VI de Inglaterra en "The King's Speech", Jesse Eisenberg que encarnó al creador de Facebook en "The Social Network", James Franco que dio vida a un temerario montañero en "127 Hours" y Jeff Bridges por su pistolero tuerto en "True Grit".
La última vez que Bardem disputó un Óscar fue en 2008 en la categoría de mejor actor de reparto por su trabajo de asesino en serie en la cinta de los hermanos Coen "No Country for Old Men", por la que acabó llevándose el galardón.
El español se estrenó en estos premios gracias a su versión del poeta cubano Reinaldo Arenas en "Antes que anochezca", producción por la que en 2001 logró una nominación como protagonista.
De los candidatos a la estatuilla este año, únicamente Bardem y Bridges saben ya lo que es ganar un Óscar.
Bridges, para quien es su sexta nominación, triunfó en 2010 como actor principal de "Crazy Heart".
Para Firth supone su segunda tentativa, además de forma consecutiva, después de la que consiguió el año pasado por "A Single Man".
Tanto Eisenberg como Franco, los más jóvenes de entre los nominados, debutan como contendientes a un Óscar.
La nominación de Bardem supuso la segunda para "Biutiful", filme existencialista ambientado en los suburbios de Barcelona y dirigida por Alejandro González Iñárritu, que logró una candidatura a mejor película en extranjera en representación de México.
La breve ceremonia de nominaciones tuvo lugar en la sede de la Academia, en Beverly Hills, y contó como presentadores con Tom Sherak, presidente de la organización, y la actriz Mo'Nique, ganadora de un Óscar en 2010 por su papel en "Precious".
La gala de entrega de la 83 edición de los Óscar se celebrará el próximo 27 de febrero en el teatro Kodak de Los Ángeles.
